Senior Pastry Chef

Chez Dré has built a reputation on it’s unique petits gâteaux and French inspired pastries and we are seeking a talented pastry chef to join our team and to help transition Chez Dré into our next growth phase.

The successful candidate will be focused and passionate with a positive and enthusiastic approach. Applicants must present the following attributes:

  • minimum 5 years culinary experience with 3+ years in a pastry production or similar environment
  • excellent knowledge of French style pastry
  • ability to oversee and lead the pastry team in the Executive Chef’s absence
  • ability to produce various types of French inspired petits gâteaux
  • possess superior technical skills
  • ability to hand pipe efficiently and consistently
  • ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • possess a refined palate to taste and select ingredients as well as the ability to create new flavour combinations
  • you must be curious and creative with the ability to understand trends, to think outside the box for design and development of concepts and prototypes
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to interpret consumer needs and translate them into product
  • ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • professional, motivated attitude
